Recyclable grocery bag sales ideas

Start a community effort that helps both
your cause and the environment through a
cooperative effort with local business.
1. Take orders - Your initial supply
of bags will cost some money. If you are
selling the for 6$ each, and the cost is 3$,
taking initial orders will allow you to buy
up to twice as many as you have initial
orders for with no risk. You can them market
bags directly. Selling is a lot easier when
you have the product right there.
2. Give discounts that give incentive
for multiple purchases - " 2 for 10$ "
you'll end up with more money and help even
further.
3 . Involve the community - Ask your
local stores for a time to sell them out in
front of the store. Make sure you have
publicity set up so that they will get some
recognition in the community for their help
(and free advertising).
4. Continue sales - After the
sale - set stores up with a supply of bags
that they can provide to the community to
buy. They should be happy to be able to
substitute providing bags that cost them
money with helping out a local school or
community group.

Theme
In setting up the sale - being too
focused with your group name on the bag
itself can limit sales - for instance: the
Ellington High Student Council name on the
bag may sell in school. The name Ellington
Recycles - will sell in your school, and
other schools in town. It may sell at the
town hall- everyone who lives in town can
use them.
